DRIFTKID PART.II
Some of you recall our coverage of young gun drifter Nick, AKA 'DriftKid', back in Impending a while ago. Well, here's the latest update below. It looks like up and up for this guy.

STADIUM DRIFT ROUND II
"Stadium Drift 2010 has started and have just finished round 2 at Parklands Gold Coast. Round 1 was at Tamworth and Nick took 1st place in that round and truly deserved it as he was sliding against a lot of home boys territory there and still came out on top. In between round 1 and 2 Nick entered a local comp at Full Lock Motorsport track and blew up his engine, but still came fourth. DriftKid was real impressed for 2 reasons, he had heaps of smoke that night (engine smoke but) and new that it was time to put the RB25 in the skyline. The only problem with that was this was on a Saturday night and the following Saturday was round 2 of stadium Drift and as Nick won round 1 he was the premiership leader. So the team had less then 1 week for his sponsors to get a new RB25, do the change over from RB20 to RB25, wiring harness, tunes and everything else that went along with it such as the clutch and so on.
"To cut to the chase, DriftKids skyline was ready and finished at 11.49pm Friday night and was on its way back from one of his sponsors - ChipTorque after the tune from the Gold Coast. Back to the Gold coast the next day for round 2 and had never driven the vehicle but loved it. With his car before it had 170kw and now with the RB25 he had 250. He was pulling away from all the other contenders and positioned 1st in qualifications. Then he was up for the top four battles and at the 1st battle, Nick said the power dropped off and was called for a rerun. DriftKid lost that then went to battle for 3rd and 4th and then the inter cooler hose came straight off and he putted of the track coming 4th over all. Not bad for his first drive with the new RB25 power.
"Nick is still doing his year 12 senior at Forest Lake College and will need to have time off for travelling. Racetape productions have launched their 2010 Stadium Drift Videos on you tube, there are some great ones on the DriftKid. Take a look.... "
