Nissan has released more details on its ESFLOW zero-emissions concept, which is looking closer to a production model than ever. You can clearly see styling cues from other Nissan models evident, but the real points of interest are in the more detailed specs in Nissan's official release after the jump.

BRZ VS 86

  • 86, BRZ, Toyota, Subaru

Both of these cars are now in the public eye, so what's the consensus? In short, most agree that both Subaru and Toyota are onto a winner. Both have so far been praised for competant handling, a nice, rorty note, trackability and, well, just generally being 'fun'. For us, the design of the BRZ is a touch better, but that's getting picky. If you missed it, follow us after the jump as we go through the details from the press releases:

STI BRZ

  • BRZ, FT86, Subaru, STI

Subaru, or Fuji Heavy Industries rather, has announced the world premiere of the Subaru BRZ Concept STI at the Los Angeles Auto Show held this month. The concept is based on the BRZ, an all-new RWD compact sports car due to be unveiled in production form at the Tokyo Motor Show at the end of the month. It features Subaru's boxer engine, provides a low centre of gravity for optimal handling and should be an interesting match for Toyota's own version, the FT86. Apart from the wing (which we prefer without anyhow), it could be very close to the production model. We don't mind it at all.

NEXT EVO A HYBRID

Well, well. Interesting times ahead for Evo fans. Orignally Mitsi Japan hinted they might end the Evo line altogether, but they've done something of a shifty turn and decided to press ahead with the Evo line. Company President Osamu Masuko said the new Evo XI will be approxmitely three years in development, feature a hybrid/diesel powerplant, propel itself to 0-100km/h in under 5sec and combine braking, AWD and steering into a single unit, which will be most interesting indeed. He said,  “We will start work on the project next year, and it will be ready within three. I have set the goal of developing a sporting car featuring electric power.” Full release from Autocar.co.uk below. Pic: Autocar.co.uk

Pirelli has put together an interesting insight into the life of a tyre as it gets around the infamous Suzuka circuit in Japan for the Japanese F1 Grand Prix. The corner-by-corner blow is also a great insight into the track if you're not familiar with its layout. You can read the full release after the jump: (Photo: via www.formula1.com)
